LabOA — Laboratorio editoriale Open Access is the editorial, digital and multimedia research infrastructure of the FORLILPSI Department, organised in a stable and continuous manner to support the production, management, dissemination and enhancement of scientific research.
In terms of its organisational characteristics, degree of shared use, operational continuity and openness to the outside world, LabOA goes beyond the scope of a single research group, establishing itself as a departmental research infrastructure serving a broad scientific community, in line with the University's definition of a Research Infrastructure.
LabOA, in collaboration with the Editorial Coordination of the FORLILPSI Department, promotes the Open Access Movement for scientific literature, carries out research on literariness in the digital environment, and offers guidance and training services. It promotes experimentation in the field of scientific and cultural communication and dissemination, carries out editing and layout of volumes and journals, and manages the creation of scientific, educational and outreach websites and digital environments.
The Open Access Project involves the systematic experimentation, within LabOA, of new means, tools and environments for humanities communication in the digital sphere, with constant attention to student training and faculty self-development. LabOA collaborates with the Department's Research Observatory. The proposals of the BSFM Series Scientific Committee extend to the FUP series Strumenti per la didattica e la ricerca.
